Inviting client users to register for their Inheritance Vault
When an Inheritance Vault has been set up for a client, either by renaming one of the initial 10 start-up Vaults or by copying the Sample Vault, your clients can be invited to register as users. This will enable them to access and view any documents you have placed there on their behalf, and to upload documents themselves.
To begin the invitation process, open the Actions box to the right of the client’s Inheritance Vault, and click the Users option:
The Client Users page will open. Click the green Invite User button to open up the Invite Inhertiance Vault Users page:
Enter the First and Last Names of the user you wish to invite, and the appropriate email address. At this stage, before clicking the Send button, it is important to check the box next to the Security Group for the type of user you are inviting. For the client, check Client Full Access and Client Upload. This will enable client users to upload information into those folders where this is necessary, and to have full access to the folders which are designated for the client’s private use.
If the client is a couple and both members are to be users, the additional information can be added to send multiple invitations at the same time.
If the client wishes other parties to be invited to the Vault, such as family members or their executor, this should be done as a separate process for each category of user. In each case, check the Security Group box appropriate for the category of user being invited.
You will be able to check the status of each invitation at any stage by clicking the Users option within the Actions box. If an invitation is not accepted within 21 days and therefore expires, it can be re-sent by clicking the envelope icon alongside the invitation.
