System performance when using WebDAV
Safe4 has been designed as an efficient web application, as well as being highly secure. Like all web applications, speed of operation will be dependent on the speed of the user’s connection to the internet. When using WebDAV, the processes being carried out in the background are complex, and may on occasion take longer than equivalent operations undertaken in the web interface. This is normal, and does not indicate a fault in the way that the system is working. For most user functions that require interaction with editable files, however, this will still be more efficient than downloading and editing them for re-upload.
Using any of the recommended alternative methods of connecting to Safe4 with WebDAV will generally offer good performance. As always, however, the speed of interaction with Safe4 will depend on the speed of the internet connection.
