The Safe4 Asset Register
As well as its primary function of providing a highly secure service for the delivery and storage of documents, Safe4 also allows structured information to be held in vaults, organised in a way that supports a wide range of business applications.
For the purposes of this guide, information held in document form is described as unstructured, whereas data that is held in fields representing various subjects is described as structured. The Safe4 Asset Register provides a method of holding structured information in a way that allows it to be directly referenced to the document files that are stored in standard Safe4 folders.
This section of the guide covers the basic concepts of how the Safe4 Asset Register can be designed and set up, and how it can be applied to specific business activities.
