System Admin Basic Concepts

In order to use the functions described in this section of the Safe4 guides you will have to be designated as a System Administrator. Once this additional permission has been granted, the provider home page in your account will present some additional buttons, as shown below:

There are 3 new buttons shown:

  • Create Provider
  • Delete Provider
  • Copy Provider

The Delete Provider function is not covered in this section of the guide, but will be described in the section titled “GDPR Extensions”.

Global User Management

In addition to these new buttons, a further item is shown in the menu band at the top of the screen. The Manage Users capability will allow the control of users across all of the providers and vaults within your organisation through a single console, and will simplify the process of adding and removing users and managing their permissions:

As stated previously, the permission to perform these management functions will only be available to your designated system administrator(s). Granting this permission can only be done by a member of the Safe4 account management team.

It is also important to note that in order to carry out the functions described in this section of the Safe4 guides, the system administration permission will need to be granted in each of the provider accounts that have been set up for your organisation.
