Safe4 Reporting

Safe4 offers an enhanced reporting facility. This allows queries to be performed against the Safe4 audit trail for analysis and reporting.

Enabling the use of Safe4 Reporting:  Access to the reporting function in Safe4 is permission-controlled, and must be expressly granted before it can be used. This is done in the provider user editing process:

4.10.01Once this permission has been granted, the option Reporting will be available in the dark coloured menu bar at the top of the Safe4 screen:

4.10.02Reporting options:  When this menu option is selected, the following screen is displayed:

The following options are available:

  • Date from: specify the date you wish the report to start. The default date will be 12 months before the current date. This can be manually changed to any other date.
  • Date to: this will be the current date, and can also be manually changed to any other date.
  • Provider: the provider accounts to which the user has access, and for which the Reporting permission has been granted, will be listed. If no account is specified, the report will cover all of the available accounts.
  • Client: the client vault for which a report is being requested. If no client vault is specified, the report will cover all of the available vaults.
  • User: if the report is required to show the activities associated with a specific user, the selection is made here. All provider and client users will be shown. If no user is specified, the report will cover all of the available users.
  • Action: if the report is required to provide information regarding a specific function, the selection can be made here. All of the functions available to users within Safe4 will be listed. If no function is specified, the report will cover all of the available functions.

The following report shows the results of a query performed against the Alpha and Omega provider account, the Anderson Brothers client vault, by the user Safe4 Administration User, for all functions. The default dates were used:

The query results can be exported to MS Excel for further analysis, or for external distribution if required.
